👋 Hello to our new newsletter readers! I’m Cynthia Widjaja - learning and development professional, data science nerd, digital marketing enthusiast, TechWalk Silicon Valley Chapter community member, and newsletter editor. I’d love your help with a few things:

TechWalk is partnering with AnitaB.org and will host a walk during the Grace Hopper Celebration in Chicago (November 4-7)

  • Cheers to TechWalk Chicago Chapter Director Chrystal Price for her collaboration with AnitaB.org to offer a TechWalk during this year’s Grace Hopper Celebration. GHC is the world’s largest gathering of women in tech, bringing together thousands of women from across the globe to learn, network, and celebrate their achievements. Watch this space for info on walk details and discounted passes. Or head straight to the event site to learn more about tickets and membership options.

  • TechWalk made its debut in the Brick City! Janet Alicea, a long-time TechWalk Community member and now Chapter Director, has all the information for you! Check out her post on LinkedIn.

  • Recent research estimates that the global AI in accounting market will grow from ~USD $6.7 billion in 2025 to ~USD $37.6 billion by 2030, underlining the magnitude of the opportunity for firms and clients alike. Join an upcoming AI Café event hosted by Rho and the team from Tabs (both of which are hiring btw) to connect and learn with others who are working and building in this space.

Crystal Method, TechWalk’s official social media agency, is offering free social media audits specifically for founders and early-stage startups looking to start or scale their social media strategies. They’ve got six sessions left for TechWalk newsletter subscribers. Simply reply to this email and we’ll put you in touch with the team.

Hiring Updates

  • Christine said to let you all know that Rho is hiring and you can use her referral link to apply. She’s also opening up a role on her Partner Marketing team for a part-time entry-level contractor. Perfect for new grads and early career professionals looking for their first opportunity. We publish across Substack, Instagram, and our website, and invite submissions across all creative mediums. From cultural deep dives and spicy opinions to snackable trend pieces, Beacon is a space for creative expression — especially for people who don’t always see themselves as "traditional creatives" but want a way to flex that muscle.
