👋 Hello to our new newsletter readers! I’m Cynthia Widjaja - learning and development professional, data science nerd, digital marketing enthusiast, TechWalk Silicon Valley Chapter community member, and newsletter editor. I’d love your help with a few things:
We’re looking for a new Chapter Director for Brooklyn. So if you are interested in taking walks, meeting new people, and building hundreds of new relationships and LinkedIn connections in tech, give us a shout by replying to this email! Otherwise, register to join what might be our last Brooklyn TechWalk on 4/25
Nigel Rosemin, Head of IT, Betterment, and longtime TechWalk NYC community member, is looking to fill a few crucial roles on his team, including: IT Support Technician and Sr. IT Systems Engineer. In addition, Betterment has over 40 FT roles available, primarily in NYC, across marketing, sales, people, engineering, and product. Connect with Nigel and ask for his referral link if any of the open positions look interesting. He won’t be able to personally chat with everyone, but he’s happy to provide support with the application process for TechWalk newsletter subscribers.
Vishal Thakar, Senior Director, Alliances at CPA.com is looking for a Partnerships Manager. Despite what’s written in the job description, this is an in-office role in NYC. If you or someone you know would be a good fit, connect with Vishal apply for the role here. Pro-tip: Vishal’s going to get a lot of requests for time “to learn more about the role” instead of going this route, stand-out by telling him why you think you would be a good fit. If he agrees, he’ll reach out!
We just opened up two new TechWalk roles - Community Programming Director and Visual Editor and Archivist. Send us a note if these sound interesting.
Community Partnerships
Thanks to our partnership with BrainStation, there are a limited number of complimentary tickets available each week to TechWalk community members and newsletter subscribers. Please reach out directly to Brett Wisner, Senior Manager, Enterprise, if you would like to be added to the list.

If you attend this event, post a pic and tag TechWalk - we want to hear about it!
Huge thanks to everyone who shares their TechWalk moments online. Word of mouth has always been our biggest growth driver, and every post, tag, and mention helps our community reach even more walkers. We’re grateful for you!
